3825 miles, 52 driving hours, 4 states, and 4 hotels later, Logan has seen Carlsbad Caverns, Odessa TX, the Alamo, the San Antonio Riverwalk, the Grand Canyon, 1 great-Nana, 4 grandparents, 6 aunts and uncles, 5 cousins, 2 great aunts, 1 great uncle, and Daddy's cousin's family! Whew! It's been quite the adventure! We loved our time with Mimi and Granddaddy and we miss them already. It was great for Logan to meet them. Below are pictures and videos from our drive out here (Logan was such a little trooper for the trip), our time at Mimi's, and our time at Dada's. Logan is very loved by his Texas family. We're grateful for all of them!
Carlsbad Caverns
Ranger Logan
Logan slept through the Alamo. He has no appreciation for important history :)
Logan really enjoyed the Riverwalk as you can see.
Logan and his Great-Nana
Logan loves his Mimi!
It was fun to see Becky, Dave, Nicole and Daniel!
Logan meets more cousins!
Cousins
Logan ready for his first swim!
Yes Grandma and Mimi, he has his sunscreen on
Dada and Momum
Perhaps he'll be a big Texan one day
Here is a video of Granddaddy making Logan giggle (and he had already been laughing for a long time before we got the video!).
Apparently our boy is ready to crawl--but his Mommy and Daddy are not ready for it! Here is a video of him "scooting" off of his changing pad at Mimi's house. He also scooted all the way across great-Nana's bed--twice! Nana loved holding Logan.
Swimming with the cousins!
That's a lot of pictures! We made it home and will have a long discussion before we decide to take another 4000 mile road trip. Overall we had a great time getting to all of those landmarks we've never seen, and most importantly, getting Logan to meet the rest of his family!
