Merry Christmas!

December continues to be a great month for our family, especially Logan.  We have continued to look at Christmas lights almost every night, and Daddy finished putting them up on our house for Logan to look at.  We had several friends and family over for a Christmas party where we ate, walked a good Christmas light neighborhood and went to a local live nativity.  The kids had a great time.  We also did our annual "Legends and Lights" where we get together with more friends and family to go eat (at Legends) and then go walk a light crazy neighborhood.  It was a lot of fun.  In the past week Logan has also started opening some of his presents.  He is really starting to get the hang of it, and is loving everything he has received so far.  Our church had our Family Christmas Service 2 Sundays ago and another kid centered message this last week, so Logan got to go to the adult service with Mommy and Daddy 2 weeks in a row.  Tonight, we celebrated Christmas Eve with Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Bud and Aunt Sammi.  We ate dinner and watched Logan open a few more presents.  Next week we will drive up to Carmel to spend time with Dada, Momum, and Uncle Jack.  We are very excited to see Jack (Brad's uncle) because it has been 20 years since Brad has seen him and Lyndsey and Logan have never met him.  And since he lives in London, maybe one day soon we'll get a chance to see him in his neck of the woods.

Overall, this last year has been one full of blessings, family, and fun.  Brad continues work at Disney on the preschool show "Jake and the Never Land Pirates", but has also started some work on a new series called "The 7D", a new take on the 7 dwarves.  It's a quirky and fun show that he is enjoying working on.  Hopefully the new year will provide him the opportunity to work on it full time.  He misses his Texas family and can't wait to see them in January!  Lyndsey has now been the Children's Ministry Director at our church for a year and has loved the job.  In the past year, our church has undergone many changes, including adding a second campus, so it has provided a lot of learning opportunities and it has been a real privilege to be part of it.  She loves working with her coworkers (including her sister now!), the teachers, and especially helping the kids learn about Jesus.  Logan continues to be a joy to us.  We love his personality.  At times he is laughing and running and playing crazy, and at other times he is snuggling, and giving hugs and kisses.  Overall he is a happy and healthy boy and we couldn't be more grateful for him.  We have experienced God's blessing and grace in our lives this year and can't wait to celebrate His birth tomorrow morning.

A special surprise from Logan to Mommy and Daddy.  Thank you Logan and Grandma- we love it!

"Winter" play in our backyard.

Bundled up and enjoying the lights at "Legends and Lights"

Watching Winnie the Pooh Christmas in his new Christmas sweater.  Thanks Momum and Dada!

Looking at the lights with Grandma.

Light overload!!! This was Logan's favorite house.  It had a train.

Silly daily play on our bed.  "Up" and "pillows" means it's bed rough house time.

Reading a new Christmas book from Erin with Mommy and a good friend Jude.

Elmo book and lunch box from Aunt Leslie.  Elmo is definitely in right now so thank you so much Aunt Leslie, Uncle Wes and cousins, Alex and Lizzie!  And thanks for the firetruck puzzle too!

Happy boy after opening presents.

Making animal sounds to the proper animal magnets.

Grateful for our family!

Aunt Jamie, Uncle Kevin and cousin Sam gave Logan a new bath treat...a Bucky toy!  Playing with this toy also accompanied an official move to taking big boy baths and getting his infant tub out.  He loved the freedom and the fun.  Not a happy boy when it was time to get out.
