Our Past Month!

I just can't believe it's already been one month since Christmas!  Below are some pictures from Christmas day that we thought were cute.  Logan LOVES playing with his Christmas toys- they have all been a hit!  After Christmas we drove up to Carmel to be with Jim, Susan, and Uncle Jack.  It was fun for Logan and I to meet Uncle Jack, Jim's brother, who visited from London.  He has many interesting stories and we enjoyed the time with him!  And, Carmel was beautiful, as always!  January is always a month of celebrations for us.  We start off by celebrating my Dad's birthday.  This year my whole family went to Disneyland for the day and had a nice lunch at Blue Bayou- pictures below.  We had a great day.  We then celebrated our 8th anniversary!  8 years of marriage to my best friend- I would choose Brad all over again and I am so grateful to God for him and the way he takes care of us.  Logan spent the night with my parents and we had a date day- we went to a museum, saw Les Miserables (loved it!), and went to dinner.  The celebrations continued with Brad's birthday.  We had another date night at a Clipper game and then a day at home, complete with Taco Pie and Banana Cream Pie.  We had planned to spend the day at the LA Zoo (thank you to Jim & Susan for the passes for Christmas!), but Logan got sick.  His illness got worse than we anticipated and he was sick for the next 10 days.  It ended up being our first family illness- Brad got sick, then I did.  We are happy to report that everyone is better.  However, we were VERY sad to cancel our trip to Texas.  We were looking forward to spending time with all of Brad's family.  That sums up our last month!

Daddy set up the whole "Safari" scene for Logan's new blocks set.  It lasted all of about 3 minutes before Logan destroyed it.  They build together almost every day.

 Uncle Jack (center) was very kind to Logan- he even brought him a teddy bear dressed as an Eton student!  Uncle Jack is head of the strings department at Eton.

 He recognizes the characters now and was VERY excited to see Donald Duck.  Donald came up to Logan later when we were in line for a drink and Logan loved it.  Donald went through a door to go on break and Logan wanted to follow him.  For the next 10 minutes we heard, "Where Donald Duck go?" from him.
