We celebrated Father's Day a bit early with a fun family outing. Last Saturday I (Lyns) planned a Newport/Balboa beach outing and we took a boat ride in the marina. The boats and houses were beautiful. Logan had a blast and enjoyed every minute of being on the boat. He loved pointing out the "big boats", flags, ducks, bridge, and we even saw a seal. I realized how much I am turning into my own mother as well. My family has gone boating at Lake Havasu since I was a baby and just like my mom: I packed us all up, made sure everyone had sunscreen and hats, I sang "London Bridge is Falling Down" as we went under the bridge, and I even sounded like her on the videos I took. Thanks mom for all those years of fun boating trips (and dad). After the boat ride we went to Laguna beach for some beach time and a picnic. Logan loved this too. He loved the waves, the sand (Brad helped him build a sand castle), climbing on the rocks, and seeing the birds and crabs. It was a wonderful family day and made me count my blessings. God allowed me to marry a wonderful man who has become a wonderful father. I am grateful to the Lord each day for my husband. Lots of pics below from our day.
We also want to say Happy 9th Anniversary to Monica and Dwayne (May 31st) and Happy 35th Anniversary to Greg and Vicki (June 3rd). We are happy you both got to celebrate in such fun ways! Wises were able to spend the weekend in Houston area and see lots of family. Fullers are in Hawaii on a relaxing vacation!
Logan enjoyed driving with his daddy.
Cutie
This reminded me of my brother the whole time. Bud's favorite spot when he was little (until he could drive on his own) was at the very bow of the boat, facing forward, just like this. Logan sat there for a long time.
Having fun at the Balboa Fun Zone.
Beach time at Laguna.
Logan wasn't sure at first, but quickly became braver and braver. Eventually he was begging Brad to take him deep into the water.
He was shivering after they were in the water for a long time! Mommy had to warm him up!
Perfect. Happy early Father's Day to my sweet husband.

Oh my gosh that looks like it was such a great day!! And were those *orange* shades that Logan was sporting?? I heartily approve :)
