We started our blog 2 and a half years ago to announce that Logan was a boy, to tell his name, to show his room, and to post his birth pictures. It's been a lot of fun to look back through the last couple of years worth of pics and stories and to see what a blessed life I've had since. Lyndsey and I have tried really hard to enjoy our last couple of months of Logan as an only child and being able to give him our full attention instead of splitting it. I decided to post my top 10 pictures of Logan just for fun which turned out to be a really hard thing to do. The original list I made as I went through all of them ended up being over 60 pictures. But I've narrowed it down to a cheater's 12. I'm very proud of my son--his sweet personality, and his enthusiasm for life. I truly believe he has smiled more than any other 2 and a half year old, and his happiness is contagious to me. And I love his big heart. Yesterday Lyndsey got a flu shot, and Logan is quite upset that Mommy has to wear a bandaid on her ouchie. I am so excited to watch him grow into a boy, and young man, and a man. And while our family of 3 has been a wonderful dynamic, he is going to be an awesome big brother. He loves babies in general, and right now, he is wanting to spend time in Claire's room, looking at her stuff, rocking her swing, and kissing Mommy's tummy. It's going to be a lot of fun to watch him with her, and I can't wait to see how much sweeter our family will be as 4.
I consider this shot to be a freebie toward my 10 count because it would probably be in everybody's top 10. I remember when I took it, I got so excited because I knew I nailed a money shot. Since I took it, it's been Lyndsey's phone background picture, and it just makes me happy every time I look at it.
A common sight in our house, but I love how much Logan likes to explore and how creative he is with ordinary objects. I think I wrote it in the blog once, but one of my favorite Logan stories was him playing with a set of many magnets in our living room. I saw him take 2 to the kitchen to put on the fridge. Then he came back and got another 2. Then as if thinking about it, he stopped and stared at the big pile he had left, and after a moment he left the room. I heard some banging around and a few minutes later he was back with one of the bowls in this picture which he filled up with the magnets and took them all into the kitchen at once. I thought that was some funny problem solving for a 1-something year old.
At Disneyland which is one of our favorite places to go. This is probably my favorite picture of Logan (which I might say more than once in this post). I'm grateful for smartphones with cameras as they allow us to catch every day moments that you wouldn't have had a camera in hand for.
We didn't know what to expect when we put him in his Halloween costume last year. Would he like it? Hate it? He ended up having a blast in it, running around, dancing, and hamming it up for pictures. Mimi was there to see all of the fun.
This is my favorite family photo. It was at our church's Family Christmas service 2012. As I said before, I live a very blessed life to have Lyndsey and Logan in it.
I loved taking sleeping photos when he was a baby. I'm sure all parents go through the "they look so peaceful when they sleep" phase, but I just loved watching him sleep. This was my favorite of all of them.
Logan's first photo shoot. Everybody has that favorite newborn shot and this one is mine.
Probably my favorite shot of Logan and me together. It's fun how everything you get excited about makes him excited, so we got all dressed up for a USC football game. And thank you to Uncle Bud for his official Trojan jersey!
While trying to work on walking, this is what we got. He's always been a little rascal and that smile has to make you laugh--even if it's throwing off what you were trying to do.
From the time we took this picture until just a month ago I had this photo in my office at work and not one person saw it without commenting. He was probably right around a year old here, and to this day if I'm on the ground, he jumps on my back. Always been fun wrestling with him.
A 2-for-1 freebie, but I couldn't decide. I guess if it has a hole in it, he thinks his head should go through it. Both make me laugh though.
One of the character traits that I admire about Logan and want to strengthen as he grows is his great determination, focus, drive and work ethic. If he gets his mind on something he will work very hard to finish it. Any time I've asked him to help me he does it willingly, and joyfully...and well! And he gets mad if we leave anything undone once we start.

Love them all!
