What a month! It seems like Claire has been with us longer than 1 month, and yet, I can't believe she's already 1 month old. She had her 1 month check up and it went great! She is healthy and weighed 9 lbs 1 oz! Those cheeks are growing and I love it. =) She is awake more during the day and has started smiling more and more! Logan is also doing very well. He is loving baby sister and shows her a lot of affection. Here are pics from the last couple of weeks. I am truly grateful to God for each one of these memories... as I was writing this post I was reminded how blessed I am to have each of these people in my life and my two precious kids. "Children are a gift from the Lord..." Psalm 127:3.
Claire Elizabeth- 1 month old (with her pink teddy from Grandma and Grandpa). I also had a pink teddy when I was growing up, and I still have it, but now it is grey. My pink teddy went everywhere with me, it was my favorite. When the head came off, my mom had to perform "surgery" to save it. =) It's very sweet that now Claire has her own pink teddy.
Cutie in the tub. Daddy gives him "crazy hair"!
Superman to the rescue! Logan LOVES his new Superman PJ's that a friend gave us. They even have a super cool cape!
Last night Logan went around our house "saving' various things and people (stuffed animals, mommy, daddy, baby sister). Here he is saving his rabbit. He also gave us all doctor check-ups with his doctor's kit. We were well taken care of by him last night! If anyone needs to be saved or have a check-up you know who to call! ;)
He loves his PJ's so much that he asked to wear them to the park today. I let him wear the shirt and cape. =) Since it's 90 degrees here today we traded the pants for shorts.
Watching TV
Brad went to a conference in Texas for a few days last week. He had a great time hearing from Harold and Deborah Bullock about raising children from a biblical perspective. We missed him but I am grateful to be married to a man who wants to raise our kids to know and love God- and is willing to invest his time and resources in how to do that! On the way home we made an impromptu stop at Disneyland. There were barely any lines so Logan got to do a lot of fun stuff! Here we are on the carousel.
Daddy and Logan at California Adventure.
Logan got his own popcorn snack- and he loved it. We thought he looked like such a big boy walking on his own with us and snacking on his popcorn! I'm pretty sure he'll be asking for popcorn every time now! Aunt Lindsay will be proud. =)
Cute pic of Logan hugging Mimi during their visit. He missed Mimi and Granddaddy and still says he wants to go on the airplane with them.
Our sweet girl ready for church. What a cutie.
Adorable picture of Brad, Mimi, and Claire during their visit.
Lazy morning
First ride at Disneyland as a party of 4! The Little Mermaid, which we rode twice at Logan's request. Claire slept through her whole first trip to Disneyland!
Daddy took Logan on the Rocket ride. If you look in the background I am waving to them. Logan waved to me each time they went by. =)
Logan is a very creative builder. He might have a future working with Dada at American Commercial Contractors! He loves his Legos.
Aunt Lindsay and Claire at Claire's first party (she's been to 3 already!). We celebrated Jeremy Lanthripe's first birthday.
I believe these ladies will be 2 of Claire's favorites as she grows up!
This is Claire's cupcake "party" outfit that Grandma and Grandpa gave her when we found out she was a girl. Her cute bow is from Lindsay.
First walk to the park using the double stroller! Mimi came with us too!
Claire has already outgrown these PJ's!
We went to see Bud and drive Logan's Jeep (Power wheel) one day. Logan loves it and is an impressive little driver.
First time I took both kids to the park by myself. It went great! Logan is spinning in this pic and after he spins he says, "I'm so dizzy!"
Auntie Lolo gave Logan a glow in the dark sword, or as he calls it, "big dada sword"
Lolo came to stay with us one night while Brad was gone. We decided to take the kids to the Zoo last Saturday. It was fun! This is Lolo and Logan looking at the snakes.
We watched the elephant care taking show.
Logan loved playing with Lolo!
So cute!
Logan has a new favorite ride at Disneyland- he is now tall enough to ride the Mater ride in Cars Land. He LOVED it, giggled the whole time, and asked to go again...so we did.
I went with him the 2nd time.
This was before the ride even started!
The other night Logan said, "I read to baby sister" and he got his tractor book to show her.
It only lasted about 10 seconds...but it was a sweet 10 seconds for me!
Do you see Logan? =) He hides under the pillows and then calls for us to come find him. One of his current favorite activities.
Cushy and sweet.
This was taken a few minutes ago. Both my babies are sleeping!
