We had a wonderful Halloween yesterday! We are thrilled that Monica and Dwayne are here to visit, meet Claire, and spend time with Logan! They have held Claire a lot for us the last couple of days, which is nice because she is finally awake more during the day! Claire continues to do very well and is interacting and moving around more each day. For Halloween we were able to do a few fun activities. On Tuesday Logan got to go to story time at the library (Mommy and Logan date) and go trick or treating in the library. He loved the treats part! However, we tried to dress him in an adorable Robin (or as we call it- "superhero") costume, but he cried very hard! He did not like it and just wanted to wear the cape, belt, and mask, so that is what we did. =) Thank you though to my friend Jamie for letting us borrow the cute costume! We also had a cute monster costume, so we decided to try that one on Halloween. It took some convincing, seeing other kids, and wanting the candy, but he finally put it on and ended up loving the costume! Brad took the day off, which was wonderful, and we went trick or treating in downtown Glendora in the morning. It was so fun and Logan loved it. He said "trick or treat" to everyone and was very polite and said "thanks!" too. Claire looked adorable in both of her Halloween outfits and the folks in downtown all wanted to see her. Mimi, Grandaddy, and Grandma came too. It was great! Mimi walked and did an awesome job. It is incredible to see her walking and getting around so well. Thank you Lord! We know she has worked very hard for that. The partying continued last night! Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt Sammi, and Pablo joined us for dinner and more trick or treating. We enjoyed the visiting and Logan enjoyed lots of candy!
Happy Halloween!
Claire loves being held by Granddaddy!
One passer by even said to Granddaddy "Oh, she's real!" I guess she looks like a little baby doll.
Our cute little monster!
Janet, a dear friend from church brought us a meal and got some Claire time.
We (actually Brad) carved 2 pumpkins last Sunday. Logan wasn't super interested yet but he did like making it dark and seeing the candle lit inside! Despite what it looks like, that's ketchup on Logan's face, not raw pumpkin.
Grandma was happy to hold Claire while the pumpkins were carved!
Mimi's first time to meet Claire!
Logan had a LOT of energy when Mimi and Granddaddy arrived. He ran around with his swords for awhile.
Granddaddy's first time to hold Claire!
Trick or treating in downtown Glendora. He had a blast!
Logan said, "Okay-- more candy!" after each treat he got.
The helpful big brother even got some candy in Claire's small orange bucket while getting his own!
Logan got to choose a candy while we waited for Daddy to pick us up.
Claire's 2nd Halloween outfit! This one says "My First Halloween"
Cutie pie!
Trick or treating- again! This time we went to a street by our house and Logan got more candy!
Aunt Sammi, Pablo, and Logan
Grandma, Grandpa and a little green monster!
Logan had quite the posse escorting him to get candy!
Mimi and Granddaddy stayed with Claire and handed out lots of candy to the trick or treaters! Claire was very cushy with Mimi!
Examining his spoils!
Logan spent much of the rest of the night sorting his candy in to like kinds. Suckers in a pile, tootsies in a pile, chocolate in another! Happy Halloween! We are grateful for a fun day with our family!
