February = Fun!

It seems like a good time for "Merry Christmas" to not be the name of our latest post anymore.  The problem for us is that every weekend is so full of fun activities, we are always way behind on getting our photos uploaded and posted.  Like this post that we started in February...we didn't quite finish and just a few days later, everything was out of date.  So for now, we'll just call it a February post.

We are so excited to celebrate Logan's 4th birthday tomorrow!  We are so proud of him and like any parents, constantly tell him to stop growing!  He is fun, funny, energetic, smart, athletic, sweet, protective, witty, endearing, curious and silly.  One minute he'll have you laughing and the next say one of the kindest things to you.  He is very excited about his birthday too--and he'll tell you that!  Tomorrow night we are having family over for dinner, cake and presents.  On Saturday, we're having a bunch of his friends come to a party at the La Habra Children's Museum, our latest season pass (replacing the zoo pass this year).  We can't wait.  We will post pics for sure from his birthday and Easter, but until then, here was our February...

Bathtime fun

A major highlight in February was weekend trip to San Diego (La Jolla really).  Jim and Susan purchased a vacation package at a charity auction and gave us the La Jolla portion of the trip.  We were so grateful for a fun weekend away.  On the way home we stopped at Legoland for the day.  That was one of the most fun days Logan has ever had.  This is the kids playing in a Lego pit at the Legoland Hotel

Such a fun day at Legoland!

The Legoland Aquarium was very fun too.

A stingray and Claire went nose to nose for probably 30 seconds.  Perfect photo op missed.  Oh well.  I caught the stingray as he was swimming off.

You can't see her beside Lyndsey, but Claire LOVED this ride and rode it at least 6 times.

The kids loved the hotel and played all over the room, especially the bed.

They loved the ridiculously big chairs at the hotel.

We found a really fun high rocky spot for Logan to explore.  The waves crashing right up by us were awesome.

Every time Daddy gives Logan a bath they experiment with different silly hair styles.

Every year Disney gives Brad a great Christmas bonus ticket package to Disneyland where he can get 8 people in instead of the usual 4, plus many more big discounts for the day.  So it's a fun January tradition to go on an empty weekday.  Driving the Disneyland fire truck.

The big news this trip was that it was Logan's first time at Disneyland at 40" tall.  A lot of new rides open up to 40 inch-ers.  This was Logan's first official 40" ride.  He loved all of the new rides.  Back to the "stop growing" comment--he's already almost 42" just 2 months later!

Playing in Target on the Daddy/Son night.  Funny shirt, silly boy.

The boys getting ice cream.

Brad ate the ice cream, Logan ate the sour worms out of it.

Bed jumping is one of Logan's favorite past times!
